Volunteer Reward Information

Thank you for showing interest in volunteering for Gen Con UK. We appreciate your time and effort and together we will help to entertain thousands of gamers attending the show.

Volunteering is broken down into time "slots" which are approximately 4-5 hours (depending on the event).

One change this year is that you only get day passes on the days that you help out. For example, to get a pass for Saturday and Sunday, you have to do at least one slot on Saturday and one on Sunday. The reason for this is that a lot of people were signing up for slots on Thursday and Friday, leaving us short of volunteers on the weekend, which are our busiest days.

Volunteering for occasional slots

Your first slot counts as entrance for that day. [Volunteering on Wednesday counts as Thursday].
For event additional slot you do on the same day, you get a choice of:

• Gen Con UK Mug
• Gen Con UK T-Shirt
• 3 Event tickets

For every additional day you help out you get entrance on that day, and additional items if you do additional slots on that day.

Volunteering for 4 slots

If you volunteer for 4 slots, you get:

• Entrance for all four days
• Access to staff lounge

Additional slots same choice as additional on same day (see above).

Volunteering for 7 slots

If you volunteer for 7 slots, you get:

• Entrance for all four days
• Accommodation in a room to yourself for four nights (Wed-Sun or Thu-Mon).
• Access to staff lounge
• Additional slots same choice as additional on same day

Notes

We discourage people from doing 3 slots on one day unless they are really up to it. Under no circumstances will anyone be allowed to do more than 3 slots per day.
